RE: Updates on the latest Covid-19 situation

Dear parents,

As the Covid-19 situation in Singapore continues to worsen in recent days, we wish to keep an open channel of communication with you and assure you that the safety of your child is our topmost priority.

There is no directive to close all tuition centres from the Ministry of Education (MOE) at this moment. So, all lessons planned for this weekend (15, 16 May) will proceed as usual unless there is further update.

Please do not send your child to any onsite class if your child

  • (i) is under a Quarantine Order, Stay-Home Notice or Leave of Absence,
  • (ii) has been in close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case in the past 14 days,
  • (iii) is not feeling well.

We will have to send your child home if he or she comes onsite with a fever or flu-like symptoms.

All lessons will continue to be available online and onsite at the same time. So, if the student is unable to come for onsite lessons, he or she can attend the same lesson online. Also, all lessons will be recorded in case the student needs it.

As more and more schools are forced to closed, we suspect that the MOE may bring forward the June school holiday again. With that, it is likely that all tuition and enrichment centres will be closed for onsite classes. As such, we advise that students be prepared for the online classes by setting up their Teams and Class Notebook if they haven’t already done so. At the same time, it may be prudent to get ready the hardware and supplies such as laptops, papers and printer ink cartridges.

To keep our channel of communication swift and open, please ensure that you save our mobile number in your phone so as to receive the broadcast messages timely. You may not get our broadcast if our numbers are not saved in your contact list.

Whatever the situation, we’re here to support your child’s learning.

Thank you for your attention in this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

P/S: Our online classes work best if the students have a laptop or a tablet with a stylus so that the student can write directly onto the screen. As such, we’ve tied up with Samsung Singapore to offer our clients to buy Samsung products at a discount. These products include the Samsung tablet PC with a stylus. I will send you the details on this collaboration in a separate message.

Yours sincerely,

Gary Ang
