Don't you think it's a shame to miss a show called Don't you think it's a shame to miss a show called the Mathematics Tour? Especially for The A Team in mathematics education. And it seems a like a Perfect Valentine's date too!

What do I know, it turned out to be pure Magical. We Sing and we were Borderline Drunk. You should have seen the Spark!

In the Afterglow of it all, I started Thinking out loud about moving these 60,000 people out of the Stadium without people Collide into one another? I remembered something I learnt about mathematical modelling for crowd management when I was studying for my Master's. The thought of it sent Shivers down my spine! We took Photographs and we left Happier! Going for concerts is fast becoming a Bad Habit. 💸
Very happy to attend the wedding of one of my form Very happy to attend the wedding of one of my former students (@youxmin_ )and my cousin (@zongyouuu ).

Happy to meet You Jie (brother of the bride) after so many years. He said that he actually remembered some of the lessons on statistics that he found useful in his job now!
Guess who dropped by? @raechuang I was fortunate Guess who dropped by? @raechuang
I was fortunate to be able to witness the burst of creativity this dedicated team brought with them. The 2-minute videos that we see every now and then needs more than a whole day's work and team effort.
Can't wait to see the end product!
A surprise visit by Jonah and Nicholas from many y A surprise visit by Jonah and Nicholas from many years ago. They were with me when I was teaching at my Bukit Batok home and followed me to Bukit Timah when I set up shop here. I still remember ferrying them from Bukit Batok to Bukit Timah when we have morning classes on Sundays since we're headed the same way.

Great to catch up with former students and know that they are doing well. Both are in the field of computer science and they said it's important to be good with math! 😏
Another former student dropped by for a visit. She Another former student dropped by for a visit. She graduated in 2011 and is now a tutor herself. At that time, she attended class at my home in Bukit Batok. Home office was such an old concept that existed before COVID. 😅
When we have the right attitude and the right guid When we have the right attitude and the right guidance, the results take care of itself. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
It's always good to bump into a former student fro It's always good to bump into a former student from yesteryears, about 13 years ago!

It's always embarrassing to recognize the face but forget the name to the face. Luckily, they always remind me of their names before I need to ask.

Even more lucky, they can actually still recognise me!
So rare to meet up with so many of my former stude So rare to meet up with so many of my former students in a single event. Happy to meet them after sooo many years at a wedding dinner!

Sometimes lucky but mostly skilful. Our students d Sometimes lucky but mostly skilful. Our students do not need to depend on luck. When you're well prepared, everything seems familiar. 😊

PS: we don't believe in spotting questions for exams, we believe in preparing our students well.

Even though the celebrations will be muted due to the pandemic, the spirit should not be dampened.
It will only get better! Stay positive! But not for covid-19 test! 😅
Take care and stay safe while celebrating!
Student: "I studied like mad and all I managed is Student: "I studied like mad and all I managed is barely a pass! I give up!" 😓

Parent: "He goes for tuition and he does all the assessment books I bought, but still he can't score A!" 😥

Over the past 18 years or so, we've heard this many many times over. It is not about the quantity but the quality.

What good does it do if the student practices the same type of questions 10 times?

What good does it do if the student can solve the question but does not understand what he is doing?

Once upon a time, when you can do the whole TYS, you can more or less score at least a B. 😲

Not anymore! Finishing the TYS guarantees a pass but not a distinction anymore. Students are tested on their understanding of concepts rather than simply regurgitating what they have practiced 20 times before.

At Number Skill, we focus on teaching the concepts clearly so that no matter how the questions are twisted, they can solve them. Our students not only can solve problems promptly, they understand what they are doing. This is a very important skill to have going into the exams.

Our students perform very well in school and national exams. 💯 And guess what, we don't have to load them with tonnes of unnecessary homework! 📚

Drop us a message to find out how our students consistently score distinctions!

Limited time only! We are having a FREE online trial for most of our classes! Our online classes are not just a Zoom session and they are highly effective. With the right set up, we can write what the student is writing and mark and correct their work in real-time! 💻

A warm welcome to the Number Skill Team. After sea A warm welcome to the Number Skill Team.
After searching for a long time, we're happy to have Dr Ng Yee Hong joining our Number Skill family.

Dr Ng Yee Hong 👨🏼‍🎓 has a First Class Honours in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry from NUS. He will be teaching our JC H2 Chemistry classes.

Dr Ng’s teaching experience includes teaching undergraduate at the university level, tuition classes at a well known tuition centre as well as private tutoring. More importantly, he is able to deliver the high standard of what Number Skill has come to be known for.
